#67 Sangita Patel: My Brand is Joy
A conversation with engineer-turned-television personality Sangita Patel who closes her latest chapter with ET Canada this week.
Sangita Patel is an engineer turned television personality, who worked her way up in the Canadian news landscape reporting on local lifestyle and entertainment news. Sangita joined ET Canada in 2014, covering breaking entertainment news and traveling the globe to interview some of today's biggest stars including Julia Roberts, Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise, George Clooney and Helen Mirren.
In 2021, Sangita was announced as the host of brand new series ET Canada weekend. Then in 2022 becoming the permanent co-host of ET Canada. Also winning for two consecutive years 2 Canadian Screen Awards as host for ETC live and nominated for a CSA people’s choice award in 2020 and nominated for best host in 2019 for HGTV Canada series Home To Win.
In 2016, Sangita started hosting of HGTV Canada’s popular home renovation series for 4 seasons, Home to Win leading the program for the past four seasons, and garnering a Canadian Screen Award nomination for her hosting duties. In 2019, Sangita was named the Canadian spokesperson for COVERGIRL’s Simply Ageless Collection, and acts as COVERGIRL’s first Canadian South Asian ambassador. A strong believer in education, she is a supporter of BOOST, War Child and ONE Campaign.
